I can’t twist it off and I can’t do that cool thing and pop it off against the counter or s/t. I don’t feel like going next door. I’m just screwed aren’t I?

the best way is a bic lighter.
Grab the bottle at the neck very firmly, death grip status.
put the but end of the lighter between your index and the bottle cap, tight to the bottle cap.
place the bottom on a firm surface (nearest counter, or sturdy table).
move your hand up the bottle to tighten the lighter against the cap (this part is where people go wrong),
push the other end of the lighter down like a lever with your other hand.
occasionally you have to repeat this process on the other side of the bottle to finsih the job, but basically it will pry off a cap from a glass bottle if you do it right.
You can use almost anything as a lever, but if the edges are rounded it tends to slip instead of lifting the cap.
